ed for Sale is this Small, Beautiful Nathaniel Olmstead Coin Silver Spoon with monogramed front handle, PG. The rear
handle of the spoon displays the N. Olmstead maker’s mark.
Nathaniel Olmstead apprenticed to Daniel Burnap in 1798. He worked as a silversmith and jeweler in Farmington CT from 1808 to 1830. He was a partner after 1830 with his son, George Omstead as N. Olmstead & Son in New Haven CT.
The total weight of the spoon is 7.5 grams of Coin Silver.
Size: – 4 7/8″ Long
Condition: – Good to Very Good Condition
– The spoon displays minor wear, tarnish, staining and scratching as one might expect from a spoon of this age. There is some denting and creasing to the bowl of the spoon.
